The event promises a celebration of rhythm, culture, and dance excellence, with crews from across the country competing for the 2025 crown.
Following regional qualifiers in Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Durban, along with standout online entries, eight crews have earned their place on the national stage.
Their styles range from Amapiano and Pantsula to Sbujwa, showcasing the raw creativity, identity, and movement that define South Africa’s dance scene.
The crews competing for the 2025 title are:
• Crazy Destroyers – Pretoria Winners
• Team Dona – Pretoria Runner-Up
• Game Changers – Johannesburg Winners
• Legend Dancers – Durban Winners
• Untouchable Entertainment – 2024 Champions (Johannesburg)
• True Skhanda Movers – Online Entry
• Is’Cathulo Sabolova – Online Entry

Untouchable Entertainment spoke to The Saturday Star about their journey and preparation. Crew member Weezy shared how dance became a healing space after losing his parents and brother.
“I used to have anger because I lost my parents when I was young. Dance gave me a space to heal,” he said.
“I created a group called TWT Dance Crew and kept pushing. Even though we split, I never gave up.”
Weezy credits mentors like Vukani Khoza and Limpopo Boy for shaping his path and providing opportunities to join the Red Bull Mzansi Crew Battle.
“I really want to thank Red Bull. It changed my life and gave me a platform when my hard work wasn’t seen by others. I’ll always remain humble,” he added.
Counting down to the weekend, he said it will be an exciting experience, a showcase of their love for dance and a celebration of South African dance culture.
The national final will feature choreographed rounds, freestyle battles, and the high-stakes 50/50 Round, where losing crews are cut in half unless the crowd rallies behind them.
Performances will be judged by Bontle Modiselle, Limpopo Boy, and Tom London, while MC Elly Majola, joined by a surprise co-host, will keep the energy high. Music for the event will be provided by the Dube Twiinz, ensuring an electrifying soundtrack to the competition.
Fans can expect an unforgettable display of talent, determination, and South Africa’s rich street dance culture as crews compete not only for victory but for the admiration of the audience and a chance to cement their legacy.
