This year's Mrs South Africa pageant season is officially open, welcoming applications from married women eager to embark on a transformative journey defined by empowerment, personal growth, and a renowned sisterhood.
With entries already pouring in from across the nation, excitement is building as the programme promises to offer unparalleled opportunities for participants to thrive.
Joani Jacobs, CEO of Mrs South Africa, notes that the recent succession of winners has ignited a remarkable interest in the pageant.
“Every year we’re delighted to see how interest in the pageant continues to grow, with more women discovering the value the programme and our famous sisterhood can bring to their lives – from confidence and personal growth to lifelong connections,” Jacobs said.
The Mrs South Africa experience, affectionately dubbed the “MBA of Life,” spans a rigorous ten months, during which participants engage in a slew of activities designed to bolster their confidence and enhance their leadership skills. This comprehensive programme not only focuses on personal development but also fosters a strong community spirit among contestants.
It is explained that during their tenure, participants will gain essential skills such as effective self-presentation, project management, purposeful communication, and media handling.
Jacobs further explains that the programme features a series of leadership workshops, mentoring sessions, public speaking opportunities, and charity initiatives, all aimed at ensuring that every woman who joins can grow into the best version of herself.
Contestants are supported by specialist partners, coaches, and past participants, collectively known as the Mrs South Africa sisterhood. This invaluable network offers practical guidance on building personal brands, expanding professional networks, and unlocking new opportunities.
“Many contestants go on to achieve far greater things than they ever imagined, driving real change and confidently taking control of the world around them,” Jacobs adds.
“They share advice, encouragement, and ensure every contestant’s crown stays firmly in place.”
For those interested in participating, the application process has been streamlined for ease. Women can visit the Mrs South Africa website, complete the application form, upload necessary documents and photographs, and upon confirming eligibility, will receive invitations to casting events.
