A daylight shooting in Johannesburg’s CBD has left a woman, believed to be a lawyer, dead, with suspects fleeing the scene on foot.

Police are investigating a murder case after a woman, believed to be a lawyer, was gunned down in a daylight shooting in the Johannesburg CBD on Monday as reported by IOL.
The shooting occurred close to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).
Police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko said officers responded to a complaint of a shooting incident. Upon arrival at the scene, they found the body of a woman with gunshot wounds. She was declared dead at the scene.
Sibeko said preliminary reports indicate that the deceased had been followed by two unknown suspects, who allegedly opened fire on her before fleeing the scene on foot.
“The motive for the attack will form part of the investigation. No arrests have been made at this stage. Police are investigating a case of murder,” she said.
