What reportedly started as a simple bumper-bashing escalated into a fatal shooting in the Johannesburg suburb of Emmarentia on Sunday morning.
According to Suburban Control Centre, initial information indicates that the shooting followed an argument that ensued after a minor accident.
This resulted in a couple being shot, with the husband being declared dead at the scene, the source indicated. The wife was reportedly taken to the hospital in a critical condition.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that a firearm was discharged during the altercation, although the exact circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear.
Suburban Control Centre said the road was blocked off by police and security companies following the incident.
