Held on Saturday, August 30 in Midrand, the event was a perfect ending to Women’s Month. Guests were welcomed with live entertainment and welcome drinks, lounging on a beautifully styled lawn setting before the formal proceedings began.

The prestigious evening brought together leaders, influencers, and advocates committed to the empowerment of women across South Africa.

This year’s theme, “Unlocking Your Inner Power”, highlighted the strength, resilience, and influence of exceptional women driving meaningful change both locally and globally.

Speaking at the event, WomenCan founder Tumi Mthembu urged women to lead with purpose.

“It is time to align our businesses, working environment and homes with the values we want to see reflected in society. We need to model what’s possible by creating a positive change while thriving in the different areas of our lives and show that women can be a force for meaningful empowerment and transformation,” said Mthembu.

The WomenCan Awards continue to serve as a platform that not only recognises excellence but also amplifies the stories of women making tangible impact in their communities and industries.
