Rising ad star Geir Wilson wins top Loeries honour

Geir Wilson, has been crowned Young Creative of the Year, marking a major milestone in a career already defined by bold ideas and fresh thinking.

Geir Wilson, Middleweight Copywriter at Halo, won the prestigious Young Creative Award at the 47th Loerie Awards Creative Week. The award was presented on the first night of the Loeries, held at the Cape Town City Hall on October 5.

The Young Creative Award recognises talented young professionals in the industry who demonstrate innovative work and a promising trajectory of sustained creative excellence.

Wilson, who made his creative debut at OFYT in 2023, has quickly made a name for himself working on notable campaigns for clients such as M&G Investments, Tracker, and The Crazy Store.

Since joining Halo, Wilson has contributed to various standout brands, helping the agency win the AdFocus Agency of the Year title and earning a nod at D&AD for Deanston Whisky.
