BMW driver killed in Limpopo shooting

Police in Jane Furse have launched a manhunt for armed suspects who gunned down a man in his vehicle at Madibong section near Jane Furse Crossing, Limpopo on Monday, October 20.

According to police spokespersons, the victim was driving a white BMW M4 and had reportedly been dropping off a friend when gunmen opened fire on his car near a set of speed humps.

“As the suspects emerged from the darkness, several shots were fired towards the driver’s side. The passenger managed to jump out and flee while the driver attempted to reverse, crashing into a tree and fence before coming to a stop,” police said in a statement.

Emergency services found the driver dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. His passenger escaped unharmed.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and police have opened cases of murder and attempted murder.
