The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has extended its warning for possible severe thunderstorms across Gauteng until Wednesday.
According to the alert, thunderstorms are expected to develop overnight, with a 50% chance of rain across the province.
Residents have been urged to take precautions, as the weather system could bring hail, gusty winds, and localised flooding in some areas.
Disaster management teams are on standby, and motorists are advised to drive with caution, avoid low-lying bridges, and stay indoors during heavy downpours.
SAWS said conditions are being closely monitored and further updates will be issued should the situation intensify.
