Acclaimed entrepreneur, broadcaster and cultural innovator DJ Sbu (Sibusiso Leope WeNkosi) has announced a major business launch that puts him at the forefront of South Africa’s economic transformation.
Partnering with VW Barons Woodmead, the initiative combines creative industry leadership, financial literacy education and purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
The launch includes DJ Sbu’s musical comeback through his Powernomics Africa label, the release of his property guide Brick By Brick: The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Property Wealth and a limited-edition Volkswagen collaboration, with part of the proceeds supporting education.
DJ Sbu's return to the music industry after more than a decade marks a calculated strategic move that leverages his established track record as founder of TS Records, one of South Africa's most influential independent music labels. His new album represents a mature artistic evolution while maintaining his commitment to authentic African storytelling with global commercial appeal.

With the launch of Brick By Brick, DJ Sbu shares his expertise in making property investment accessible. Drawing on five years with Ekasi Noble Property Development, the publication tackles key challenges to homeownership for economically marginalised South Africans, including those with poor credit histories.
"This initiative represents our commitment to building inclusive economic ecosystems that empower ordinary South Africans to achieve extraordinary outcomes," stated DJ Sbu. "We're not just launching products; we're launching pathways to generational wealth and sustainable development."
The VW partnership launches three limited-edition models - the Polo Vivo MoFaya, Amarok and Golf 8.5 - aimed at inspiring mobility among South African youth. Part of the proceeds will go toward 2026 tertiary education registration fees.
