The Class of 2025 from Reddam House’s Gauteng schools – Reddam House Waterfall, Reddam House Bedfordview, and Reddam House Helderfontein – has delivered outstanding results in the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) National Senior Certificate examinations, achieving high distinction counts, strong Bachelor Degree pass rates and exceptional individual performances across all three campuses.
Reddam House Bedfordview achieved a total of 324 distinctions, reinforcing its position as one of Gauteng’s top performing independent schools and celebrating one student who achieved nine A symbols and 64% of students attaining an A or B aggregate. Reddam House Waterfall achieved an average of three A symbols per candidate, with 62% of students attaining an A or B aggregate. Reddam House Helderfontein recorded a full 100% Bachelor Degree pass rate, with 53% of students achieving an A or B aggregate.
Together, these results reflect consistent academic strength across the Gauteng region, while also highlighting the depth of achievement within individual schools and across a wide range of subjects.
Reddam House Gauteng students achieved multiple placements in the IEB’s national rankings, including Top 1% subject rankings as well as recognition on the IEB’s Outstanding and Commendable achievement lists.
Two students achieved placement on the IEB Outstanding Achievement List, awarded to candidates ranked in the top 5% nationally in six or more subjects: Neha Sewnarain from Reddam House Bedfordview and Suneha Ramnarian from Reddam House Waterfall.
Five students were listed on the IEB Commendable Achievement List, awarded to candidates ranked in the top 5% nationally in five subjects: Keira Kisten from Reddam House Bedfordview, and Diya Bhika, Rethabile Mashego and Reatlegile Mphake from Reddam House Waterfall. One additional Bedfordview student achieved Commendable status.
In addition, Reddam House Waterfall achieved 13 Top 1% subject placements, while Reddam House Bedfordview achieved 12 Top 1% subject placements, reflecting strong subject-level performance across the cohort. A small number of students who achieved Top 1% subject placements and Commendable rankings have chosen not to be named in external communications; their achievements are fully reflected in the totals reported.

Reddam House Bedfordview’s Class of 2025 delivered 324 distinctions, with 64% of students attaining an A or B aggregate, underscoring the school’s long-standing reputation for academic excellence. The cohort included one student who achieved nine As, a rare and outstanding accomplishment. The school also recorded 12 Top 1% subject placements and nine candidates featured on the IEB Top 1% list.

Among Bedfordview’s Class of 2025 is Anastasia Hambakis, known as Stasi, a national waterpolo player who spent extended periods out of school representing South Africa during the year. Despite the demands of international competition, she achieved two As and a strong B average, demonstrating exceptional discipline and time management.
The school also celebrates Head Girl Reatlegile Mokgalagadi, who achieved four As while maintaining a gruelling dance programme. Reatlegile represented South Africa at the World Dance Championships in Spain last year, placing seventh globally, while continuing to lead the school community with distinction.

Reddam House Helderfontein achieved a 100% Bachelor Degree pass rate in the 2025 IEB examinations, with more than half of the cohort achieving an A or B aggregate.
Five distinctions were achieved by Luke du Preez and Lunga Gqomo.
A success story from Helderfontein is Tshenolo Gaesenewe, a Beast Foundation scholarship recipient and boarder selected from a national pool of more than 200 applicants. Tshenolo achieved excellent results, with four distinctions in History, English First Language, isiZulu First Additional Language and Life Orientation, and a first-in-class placement for Life Orientation.
Beyond her academic commitment, Tshenolo immersed herself fully in school life, participating in hockey, soccer and choir. She has expressed a long-term ambition to pursue civil engineering, with postgraduate study firmly in her sights.
