Kingsmead College has announced exceptional Independent Examinations Board (IEB) Matric results for the Class of 2025, achieving a 100% bachelor’s degree pass rate and an impressive number of distinctions across the cohort.
The IEB Matric is widely recognised for its rigorous academic standards, emphasis on independent thinking, and strong preparation for higher education. Kingsmead’s results reflect not only academic excellence, but also the depth, consistency, and resilience required to succeed within this demanding assessment framework.
Founded in 1933, it is explained that the school has a long-standing commitment to educating young women who think critically, engage meaningfully with the world, and step forward with confidence and purpose.
Nearly a century later, this ethos remains firmly embedded in a school culture grounded in character, courage, purpose, community, and humanity.
Guided by the values of responsibility, purpose, happiness, service, possibility, and Courage Always, the school fosters an environment in which learners are supported to grow intellectually while developing confidence, integrity, and compassion.
These values have shaped the Class of 2025 throughout their academic journey and are reflected both in their results and their broader contribution to school life.

Members of the Class of 2025 describe Kingsmead as “a community that supports you to be your best, while never losing sight of who you are.” They say leadership is cultivated through collaboration, service, and shared responsibility, with the partnership between students, educators, families, and alumnae playing a central role in their success.
Reflecting on the results, Executive Head Lisa Palmer said:
“The IEB Matric places high value on depth of understanding, critical thinking, and independent learning, qualities that align closely with Kingsmead’s educational philosophy. While we are proud of the academic outcomes achieved by the Class of 2025, we are equally proud of the young women they have become.”
“For over 90 years, Kingsmead has focused on educating the whole girl, her intellect, her character, her courage, and her sense of responsibility to others. The Class of 2025 exemplifies this balance of academic rigour and human values.”
Some of the top achievers also shared their excitement about their results, “More than being grateful for my marks, I’m grateful for the people who supported me, because I truly couldn’t have done this alone, ” Bibi fathima Peer expressed her gratitude.
