Sejobe, who had been a welcoming presence at the MultiChoice headquarters in Randburg since 2015, was known for his infectious smile and the warmth with which he greeted everyone. In an official statement, MultiChoice expressed deep sorrow over Sejobe's passing, acknowledging him as a valued member of the team. “David was known for his professionalism, warmth and positive spirit," the statement said, highlighting his ability to represent the core values of respect, kindness, and human connection. “He made a lasting impression on colleagues, guests, and the broader community.”

The sentiments shared by his colleagues reflect a deep appreciation for the comfort and joy he brought to the everyday lives of many. Security company, Fidelity Services, also paid tribute, remarking on the positivity that Sejobe radiated throughout his 12 years of service. “Rest in peace, David. Your smile and laughter will be missed by your Fidelity colleagues,” they shared on X, adding their condolences to his grieving family and friends.

Following this tragic event, MR21 Funeral Services has committed to assisting the Sejobe family with burial preparations. A statement from the company spoke to the outpouring of love displayed on social media, indicating that Sejobe’s final resting place will be in Venda. They confirmed their role in transporting his body to ensure he returns to his beloved home.

In a moving tribute, popular media personality Anele Mdoda shared her memories of Sejobe on X, expressing her sorrow at the loss of a man who radiated joy and warmth. “I am so sad! The friendliest man who would hype you up like your own parent,” she recounted, emphasising the deep connection he had with those lucky enough to know him. “To the MultiChoice family, we are so sorry and we hold you in our hearts.”
