Kaizer Chiefs, Joburg Super Kings aim to paint Jozi yellow for the upcoming SA20

Kaizer Chiefs will be lending their support once more to the Joburg Super Kings cricket franchise when Season Four of the premier South African T20 competition, SA20, begins on December 26.

Amakhosi and JSK have worked closely over the past two seasons and will continue collaborating in the new season.

The Super Kings begin their campaign on December 27 with a Gauteng derby against the Pretoria Capitals on the road.

Their first home game in Johannesburg is on January 1 against Durban's Super Giants.

“Over the past two seasons, we have had a wonderful partnership with the Kaizer Chiefs. This collaboration reflects a commitment to uplifting the sport and creating meaningful experiences for fans across regions,” said KS Viswanathan, the Director of Joburg Super Kings.

“Both Joburg Super Kings and Kaizer Chiefs wear the yellow jersey and I am proud of what we have built so far, and excited for the future of this partnership.”

Chiefs’ Marketing Director Jessica Motaung speaks fondly about the growing relationship with Joburg Super Kings over the past two seasons.

“Our club has worked well with Joburg Super Kings and is looking to build and grow this relationship with various touch points including fan engagement and other media activities,” said Motaung.

“We are looking forward to strengthening this partnership in Season Four".

Motaung is confident that Joburg Super Kings will have a successful season both on and off the field.

“We want to wish the Joburg team all the best this season. They have our full support and backing,” she said.

“All our teams - seniors, women and youth as well as our fantastic Kaizer Chiefs supporters will be in attendance to make the Bullring an even more intimidating venue for visiting teams.”

Kaizer Chiefs is the only football club in South Africa that has established a partnership with a South African cricket franchise, making Amakhosi and Joburg Super Kings a formidable duo.

Chiefs will have former player and assistant coach Shaun Bartlett and current Amakhosi players Ignacio Miguel and Flavio Da Silva attending a Joburg Super Kings training session on December 21.
