The transfer window will open next month, but there’s already been some player movements in the PSL – some are being released, while others are getting new homes.

So, that’s why below we look at free agents who should be quickly snapped up by top-flight clubs as they still have a lot to offer on the pitch.

Sipho Mbule

Mbule is one of the most tactically gifted players in the PSL, with his composure and skillset, making him stand head and shoulders above the rest.

However, his ill-discipline off the pitch has tainted his football talent. As such, Mamelodi Sundowns have decided against renewing his contract later this month.

Mbule likely has offers lined up for him from various clubs, but the catch is that he keeps his behaviour intact at all times. A feat he should adhere to.

Paseka Mako

Mako recently left Orlando Pirates, ending his seven year stint with the club. His departure set tongues wagging, given that he was one of their best defenders over the years.

While he’s a designated left-back, he operated as a right-back at times, showing his versatility and understanding of the defending basics.

His stint at Pirates only took a set-back when he sustained a nasty injury on his eye, resulting in a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Rivaldo Coetzee

The Kakamas born defender-cum-midfielder established himself at Sundowns as a good reader of the game who knows when and how to help the team.

However, he was unlucky with injuries during his spell with Sundowns, resulting in him spending more time on the pitch than on the field.

At just 28 years of age, he’ll feel that his fortunes can still change and can still be able to rediscover his form and help his new team, especially given his experience.
