Durban - One person is receiving advanced life support treatment after he was trapped in a sandbank following a wall collapse at a construction site in Bluff, south of Durban, a short while ago.
According to Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care Paramedics, they were called to scene where a man was pinned under a sandbank in Watsonia Road.
He said the wall collapsed while the man had been working and digging.
"On arrival paramedics found the man still in the sand and together with his colleagues managed to free him.

"The man had sustained moderate injuries and is currently being stabilized by advanced life support paramedics before he will be rushed through to a nearby hospital for the further care that he requires," said Jamieson.
He said events leading up to the wall collapse were unknown adding that all relevant authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
