Severe storms cause flooding in Durban and surrounding areas

The road has been damaged in Rinaldo Road in Durban North following the heavy rains.

Several areas in Durban and the province flooded overnight following severe storms. 

According to the South African Weather Service: 

- Durban will be cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers today. The minimum/maximum temperature will be 22/26.

- Richards Bay will be cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers. The minimum/maximum temperatures will be 24/28.

- Pietermaritzburg will be cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers. The minimum/maximum temperature is: 18/21

Social media was flooded with pictures and videos of the damage.
