Cape Town comedian and sports oke Dalin Oliver is back at doing what he does best: mixing rugby passion, Cape Town humour and absolute chaos into one hilarious commentary session.

And rugby fans are eating it up like a Gatsby after a groove.

“Cheslin Kolbe is back in his Stormers jersey, 1 July 2026, this is moerse news, this should be a public holiday,” Oliver said.

“There should be no debit orders. We deserve a payment holiday because one of the sons of the Mother City is coming home. We need to prepare mentally and emotionally.”

The excitement comes after the massive news that Springbok speedster Cheslin Kolbe is officially returning to the Stormers from July 2026. Ja nee, this one hit different for Cape Town rugby lovers.

Kolbe, one of the brightest products to come out of Western Province rugby, first made waves back in 2013 when he debuted for the Stormers before going on to become one of the most dangerous wings in world rugby.

From helping the Springboks win the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cups to becoming a global fan favourite in France and Japan, the man has done it all. Now he’s coming home.

Long before stand-up stages and sold-out comedy tours, Oliver was deep in the sports world.

The former teacher became known as a sports presenter and rugby commentator, building a loyal following thanks to his humour and proudly local takes on the game.

His comedy has always carried that lekker locker-room energy, where rugby culture, Cape Town slang and everyday South African life all collide.

And while Oliver sped through Kolbe’s achievements like an ADHD documentary, rugby fans understood the assignment.

As the comedian proudly sang: “Stormers jou lekker ding!”
