Sandton will come alive with a week-long boxing spectacle later this month as fighters, promoters and media converge for Knockout Chaos, a high-stakes build-up event leading into a headline fight night at The Galleria Events Venue.
From April 21 to 25, the multi-day programme will set the tone for Aquila Boxing Promotions’ (ABP) first event of 2026, featuring a press conference, official weigh-in and the main card, all staged as part of a structured fight-week narrative designed to heighten anticipation ahead of the bouts.
The event will kick off with a press conference on April 21 from 11.30 to 1pm, where fighters are expected to face off for the first time in the official build-up, setting the tone for the week’s tension and rivalry. Media will also have the opportunity to engage with fighters ahead of fight night, with organisers encouraging pre-arranged one-on-one interviews following the session.
The official weigh-in will take place on April 24 from 11.30, offering another key moment in the fight-week calendar as athletes step onto the scales ahead of competition. The weigh-in is expected to further intensify anticipation ahead of the main event.
The fight week will culminate on April 25 from 6pm with the live event at The Galleria Events Venue, located at 10 Eastern Service Road in Sandton, where the final match-ups will take centre stage.
Organisers say the event is designed to deliver more than just boxing action, positioning Knockout Chaos as a narrative-driven showcase that builds storylines throughout the week.
“This is more than boxing. It’s storylines, tension, and a night built for impact.”
Media have been invited to cover the full fight week programme, with accreditation and logistical arrangements required for camera crews in advance to ensure space allocation at the venue.
South African boxer Kevin Lerena is also among the fighters on the ABP radar, with organisers confirming his next bout is already scheduled outside of this event.
“Kevin Lerena has also confirmed his next fight: Lerena vs Mehry | 30 May 2026.”
The full fight card for Knockout Chaos has been distributed to accredited media ahead of the event.
Knockout Chaos marks ABP’s opening event of 2026, setting the stage for what organisers describe as a high-impact year of boxing entertainment.
