Truck hijacked in Kempton Park, police appeal for information

A white Mercedes Actros truck was hijacked in Kempton Park and last tracked on Pomona Road.

A truck was hijacked in Kempton Park on Wednesday night, with police urging the public to assist in locating the vehicle.

According to traffic information reports, a white Mercedes Actros truck was hijacked and last tracked on Pomona Road. The truck was empty at the time of the incident.

Two drivers, identified as Ostern and Mahle, were on board when the hijacking took place.

Details of the vehicle have been circulated in an effort to aid recovery. The horse has registration CY 84 WJ ZN, while the trailers carry registration numbers FGZ 118 FS and FGZ 120 FS.

Members of the public who may have information on the truck’s whereabouts, or who spot the vehicle, have been urged to contact the South African Police Service (SAPS).

Police investigations are ongoing.
